Banff National Park and more specifically the Valley of the Ten Peaks offers hundreds of breathtaking trails each providing a truly unique experience. Our staff, managers and owners have explored this area extensively and would love the opportunity to share their experiences and the local knowledge they have gained over the years.
For the visitor who has limited time, you may wish to explore the park using some rather unique methods. While staying with us your choices range from helicopters, snow coaches, gondolas, canoes and river rafts to other fun and exciting forms of transportation. All these activities combine both a unique adventure experience with the opportunity to learn about this distinctive World Heritage Site. Our front desk staff will be happy to make a reservation for you or assist in preparing a personalized itinerary.

Great Divide Nature Interpreters (Guided Hikes):
- Hiking against the dramatic backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, you will discover the stories behind the scenery of Lake Louise and Banff National Park.
- With Great Divide you will see more and understand more. Not only will you will encounter plants, animals and processes you would have otherwise missed, you’ll appreciate the big picture – how they work together and why they are important.

- Also, join us in our Library 3 nights a week to watch the highly entertaining and educational complimentary shows presented by Great Divide.
Canoeing on Moraine Lake:
Participate in an activity that has been ongoing in Banff National Park for over 100 years!! Canoe dock is open daily from 10:00AM to 6:00PM.
- Plan 60 – 90 minutes for one trip, activity is considered moderate.
Icefield Helicopter Tours:
What better way to explore the Canadian Rockies than by helicopter? View pristine alpine meadows, streams and glaciers. Guests will be overwhelmed by the sheer majesty of the surroundings. Truly spectacular- a can’t miss!!
- Tours leave the base every half hour between 7:00am and 8:00pm. Allow 2 hours travel from Moraine Lake Lodge.
- Rates start at $165/person
- RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
River Rafting:
An exciting activity that is sure to bring a smile to your face and a memory not to be forgotten. The rafts are launched just outside Yoho National Park into the Kicking Horse River, 75 minutes from Moraine Lake Lodge.
- Rates start at $69/person (transportation from Lake Louise available)
- RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
Horseback Rides:
Trail rides begin at Lake Louise. Choose a trip to either of the unique tea houses located in the area.

Snow Coach Tours:
The unique snow coaches take you onto the Columbia Glacier, which covers 325 square kilometers, one of the largest accumulations of snow and ice south of the Arctic Circle.
- Rate: $46.67/adult and $22.86/youth (ages 6-15)
- Reservations are not required for this activity.
Golf:
Enjoy a round of golf at one of BC’s “Top 30″ golf courses. Four courses available within 90 minutes from Moraine Lake Lodge.
- Rates vary according to course and rentals
Lake Louise Gondola:
Located approximately 20 minutes from Moraine Lake Lodge, the gondola takes visitors to an elevation of 6850 feet. View grizzlies during the June 1-20 period as they feed on wild flowers, and in August, when they feed on wild berries.
- Rate: $25.95/adult and $12.95/youth (ages 6-15)
